  5. hello, I just came across your blog and thought about my visit to Dublin a few years ago, wonderful place. Although I have just moved to France I still miss some of those special places back in the UK and Ireland.

  6. Hi, lucky you living in France, always wanted to spend at least a year there since I first fell in love with it when I was 16, a very long time ago! Love your dog, I had a retriever just like yours, died about four years ago. Had a look at your blog, great paintings, another thing I wish i could do is paint, instead I just admire other peoples!

    • Where did you go when you went at 16, was it south, which is where I really wanted to go, but house prices are too high and a little over-run there, this area is very French and quite rural so you get the feeling that not much has changed over the years.

      • I used to go to Paris, then down to Menton in the south, I love the south of France, have been going on holidays there since 2005 to a little place called Villefranche- Sur Mer. I would love a place in France, but like you I find that houses prices are too expensive, so if I ever get to go it will be to somewhere cheaper.

      • I hope she has a chance to discover everything she is in pursuit of… she certainly sounds like an achiever.

Your Montessori teaching background sounds interesting – I can imagine how intellectual the world would become, if we could all discover the things we naturally desire to learn, at a very early age.

        hope your winter is mild!

        David

      • Hi, Yes she has always been an achiever, a bit of a perfectionist, and really hard worker! She just loves America, Her emails to me are just full of excitement about Washington, and what she is doing everyday.

Teaching Montessori was very interesting, great to get kids at the age when you can shape them a bit and when they are so willing and able to absorb everything. Winter has been very mild, no snow so far, unlike last year, looking forward to Spring! Bernadette.

  10. hope all is well in your area. does it feel like spring yet?
