Hemingway, Outside Shakespeare and Company Bookstore. (Sylvia Beach Beside Him)

Try to learn to breath deeply, really to taste food when you eat,

and when you sleep, really to sleep.

Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might,

and when you laugh, laugh like hell.

And when you get angry, get good and angry.

          Try to be alive.

You will be dead soon enough.

Ernest Hemingway, advice to young writers.

I really like this quote , which Hemingway intended as advice to young writers. I am not a young writer but I intend to take his advice! Sometimes I forget that life is for living now,  not later!

Lovely Book By John Baxter About Walking In Paris.

I found the quote in this book, which I read over the weekend, and loved. If you love Paris, and love reading about the writers and artists who lived there over the years, and of course if you love walking, then you will love this book.
