I spent the last few days enjoying the wilds of Connemara, Co Galway, stayed in a lovely hotel in Galway city, and spent the days exploring Connemara. The weather was beautiful, cold, but lovely winter sunshine, and only the odd shower, which is most unusual for the west of Ireland. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Thank you for sharing those pictures from your travels! Do people really call it The Quiet Man Bridge, or is that just the photo caption? Every time I see that movie re-run on TV (usually here in the states around March 17), I cringe at certain scenes, like the nice stick to beat the lady with.

Yes Alice, it is called The Quiet Man Bridge. A lot of cringe worthy moments in that movie!

The sheep wander freely all over the valleys and mountainsides, and all along the roadsides, so each farmer marks his sheep with a particular colour for easy identification!
