I have been very busy recently, and as a result have had no time to blog. However I have found time to make a few bits and pieces for Christmas, just a few simple hearts filled with the with all the wonderful scents of the season, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, cloves. I also made some Christmas bunting. My sewing skills are pretty basic, but they still look great, and I think if you make something yourself you get a very satisfied feeling!
I just love Christmas decorations, and every year I add to my collection, also I love to buy decorations when I travel to other countries, the nicest I have I got in Germany, and Budapest. I also have adorable ones from my childhood which I still use.
I don’t expect to be doing much blogging in the next few weeks either with all the preparations for Christmas waiting to be attended to, and since I have not even bought one single present, I think I had better start pretty soon. My daughter is heading off to study in Washington on the 10th of January for a few months, so I have loads to help her with her too, but my reward will come when I go to visit her in the Spring, which I just can’t wait for, as I have never been to America before!

Beautifully done, Bernadette! I don’t decorate for Christmas any more, but packed away in my collection of ornaments and decorations are a number of heart shaped ones. I also have old Christmas tree ornaments that were my parents, some older than I am!

Thanks Alice! I think the best ornaments are the old ones, I love all the ones that belonged to my parents, they just bring back so many happy memories.
